She got the success in her early endeavors and was nominated for Oscar Award during the year 1978. When she performed extraordinarily in the movie – Sophie’s Choice during the year 1982, she was awarded the award of best actress. Mary Streep achieved a large number of nominations for Academy Award and Golden Globe Award, which were the highest ever nominations given to any actor.
