If you’ve never heard the term “Splice The Mainbrace” you are not alone. According to wikipedia Splicing the Mainbrace is when a naval vessel decides to order all its crewmen and on-board elite alcohol, most notably after they fix a part of the ship. It’s probably more complicated than that, but Wikipedia does a good job in giving you the basics. I’m not sure if this will become the latest phrase at frat parties or just another useless fact, but for some reason this phrase is buzzing on the internet.
