Ecojet looks cool and does everything but fly

HOLLYWOOD, CA (RPRN/Hollywood Today) 7/27/09— Captain Jay Leno piloted his EcoJet Car, landing it on the grounds of Art Center of Design in Pasadena. This was the first year of several shows at the campus that Art Center combined all three elements of transportation:
Air,Land and Sea vehicles. Even included, was a space capsule that was used to deliver cargo to the

space station, was on the grounds along side experimental aircraft including a high- performance off-shore power boat, a car boat and concept cars. Fly-overs by military aircraft and aircraft.

“Burt” Rutan of Scaled Composites was the key-note speaker featured. Ground shaking muscle cars, from the past were along side contemporary designs from the future.

The Tesla plug-in electric sports car and sedan were also in attendance along with hundreds of other cars, concept cars and drag type machines.
Thousands braved the 100 degree weather to hear and meet many of the designers and other dignitaries of the car and aircraft industry.

Featured cars from the film and televison industry the Batmobile was rolled out from its bat cave by George Barris, the king of customizers.

The Vector, the world’s first super car, designed by Gerald Wiegert, an Art Center alumni brought his personal Vector Avtech WX3 roadster prototype, which was featured and was the star of the Geneva International auto show. Mr. Wiegert also brought the AquaJet, Jetbike WX-1, “a motorcycle or super-bike for the water” which he invented which was featured on several TV show, commercials and the Discovery Channel.

The Jetbike was sitting acoss from a Meyers Manx dune buggy created and brought by Bruce Meyers the designer and father of the Manx dune buggys that have been featured in several TV shows with Elvis, and films like Beach Blanket Bingo.

Also across from the Vector was the the Studebaker and the Avanti cars both designed by Raymond Loewy’s famous design firm and a father of industrial design.
